... hope you are eating cake in heaven!!! We miss you!

This photo was taken on May 4th, 2003. Only 4 years ago. Back then, I hardly knew you, Volker. But in the last few years we got to know each other better and we became friends and you were my brother in Christ. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that you had to go. You are so sadly missed by all. The world lost a gentle soul and heaven gained one. When I think about you and your early death I always think that God promoted you to a better place. Unfortunately your family and the rest of us have to wait! But we do know, at least the ones who know Jesus as their Savior, that we WILL see each other again. It is a comfort. Although small at times.

Dieses Foto wurde am 4.Mai 2003 aufgenommen. Vor nur 4 Jahren. Damals kannte ich dich fast gar nicht, Volker. Aber in den letzten Jahren haben wir uns besser kennengelernt und wir wurden Freunde und auch Glaubensgeschwister. Ich kann dir nicht sagen, wie leid es mir tut, dass du gehen musstest. Du wirst von allen so sehr vermisst. Die Welt hat eine liebevolle Seele verloren und der Himmel hat eine gewonnen. Wenn ich an dich denke und an deinen fruehen Tod, dann denke ich immer, dass der liebe Gott dich schon gebraucht hat oder gewollt hat. Leider muessen deine Familie und der Rest von uns darauf noch warten. Aber wir wissen, zumindest die, die Jesus als Erloeser erkannt haben, dass wir uns wiedersehen. Das ist ein Trost. Wenn auch manchmal nur ein kleiner.
